President SO, Jin Kwang of Korea Saemaul Undong Center visited villages: Occollo village, Minas Corral, and Ollanyaytambo village which have been implementing Tambos Program in Peru and discussed cooperation method between Tambos Program and Saemaul Undong from June 16 to 18.
Those villages are located at an altitude of 3,000 to 4,000 meters so many villagers have difficulties in using public services including medical care, law, and administration. For this reason, Tambos Program is receiving a positive response from villagers.
President SO, especially, joined various programs such as legal counseling service, administrative support service, health care service, and education service in Occollo village. Also, he attended the first assize in the village. In the assize, President SO said “I think assize is very helpful for community development in Peru since judges and government officials from the authorities visit each village in turn and settle a variety of complaint from villagers.” He added “I hope  Tambos Program will be shared around the world as success case with the good points of Saemaul Undong.”
